The best way to make decisions as a group would be for everyone in the group to state their reasoning for their opinions, and then for a discussion to begin concerning each persons’ opinion, arguing the merits and trying to discredit and poke holes in each opinion. After thoroughly vetting all persons, if no consensus is reached, it is best to compromise and form a decision taking the positive points of each persons’ opinion while trying to minimize the costs, leaving everyone in the group satisfied. It must be a team effort where all members are heard. All egos also must be left at the door, as a major problem when decision making in a group is that everyone believes its their way or the highway, and are unwilling compromise or even recognize that someone may, in fact, have a more complete, well-thought out idea than you have.
